yes you can mix and match, no you can’t have one 4 and 3 2’s. The memory slots are called DIMMs and every other one is paired. so 1 and 3 2 and 4. You can have two 4GB sticks and two 2GB sticks but they always have to be two. You can have different speeds anywhere though, but you’ll be limited to the slowest RAM in the DIMM pair.
